The Society for Women's Health Research would like to remind you that the deadline to submit an application for the Donald G. and Darel Stein Fellowship is March 1, 2012! This new fellowship promotes the study of sex differences in neuroscience by offering a travel award opportunity for four full-time students in this field.
The award will be used for expenses associated with attendance at a scientific meeting where the student is presenting a poster on neuroscience and sex differences. Proposed projects must advance the understanding of sex differences in neuroscience from the perspective of laboratory research, health promotion, health education, or health policy. Up to four awards will be funded each cycle.
"SWHR is proud to offer the Donald G. and Darel Stein Fellowship to deserving young scientists for their work in advancing sex differences research in neuroscience", said Phyllis Greenberger, MSW, President and CEO of SWHR. "Rewarding top talent with the opportunity to present innovative research to a broad audience will further SWHR’s mission to advance the study of sex differences, and bolster the careers of these young fellows".
Fellows will receive a $1000 reimbursement for travel, hotel, food, and registration for expenses associated with attendance at a scientific meeting in 2012. Award recipients will also receive recognition on SWHR’s website and a certificate of completion.
